EVERFREE NORTHWEST 2013
A My Little Pony Convention Summary
Written by Aaron Matthew Holmes
With Everfree Northwest over, and having some free time (finally!), I figured I’d start writing up my summary of the convention.
First off, I’d like to say that the atmosphere from Everfree Northwest including attendees, special guests, and even staff, was astounding! I’ve never been to a convention that was not only very welcoming, but very family friendly. Attendees were ‘clean’, nice, and accepting of others as if they were one giant family.
Everfree Northwest is on its second year running since it first started in 2012. It has grown substantially and drawn in special talents into the con each year. With such talents such as Andrea Libman, Amy Keating Rogers, Peter New, and Michelle Creber, Everfree brings the voices and the writers of My Little Pony to the Northwest to talk, discuss, and enjoy everything Pony.
Myself, along with James Garret, were able to able to not only interview everyone listed above, we had the amazing opportunity to interview “Going Once”, the Charity Auction head, as well as Tim Slovacek , the director of media and PR contact. Thousands of pictures were also taken over the weekend, many from the Cosplay Contest. Many other pictures came from other photoshoots that occurred over the weekend and mini photoshoots that I had with attendees.
James and I had an amazing time at Everfree and couldn’t have been happier with how the con felt and how it was run. We will be reporting in a later article, where James Garret, was lucky enough to land several interviews with other special guests throughout the convention. All of his interviews and experiences will be here soon, so stay tuned!
Thank you Everfree for allowing Optimus Reports to attend and experience such a lovely con!
