New Breed Games, a fledging Florida-based company, has finished their demo of the upcoming iOS, Android, and PC game entitled “Flickback”. Flickback is a fast-paced direction game, similar to that of DDR but for your fingers. Players engage with Flickback by flicking the arrows that appear on screen in the direction shown. Each arrow has different point values and varying speeds. There are 25 total levels throughout the game, each increasing in difficulty as the player progresses.

Lately, game companies have been taking the gaming world by storm, not only with their major remarkable titles such as Guild Wars II, Batman: Arkham City, Darksiders II, and more… But with their Collector’s Editions specifically! More and more game companies seem to be taking the normal Collector’s Edition with additional physical content, and added DLC, and adding in Statues or Figurines for those who can dish out the ca$h.
I have actually been quite overtaken by some of these works of art, even though some pieces aren’t “worth it” according to some. Regardless, I find myself greatly interested in collecting these statues and figurines in order to display within my nearby shelves.

For those who follow, and for those who are maybe checking out this website for the first time; you may notice from time to time that the background of this website may change. Why? I feel that it’s good to change visually, rather than use the same static image for eternity. This also has another advantage: to give you a preview of the game that I am reviewing next.
In the future, I am going to be focusing more on reviewing games that I am currently playing, or games that I have played in the past and significantly enjoyed, rather than by request. I feel that having a larger variety of titles to review will give the website more content, with a greater frequency, than the production of a new game review every so often.
Feel free to comment, ask questions, and make game review suggestions if you have any. I will make a list of all the games that I own along with the games that I’ve reviewed, and post them here.
Before I started Mastering Social Media, I would have never thought about using social media to advertise my services as a ”game reviewer” now how to really spread the word about “who I am”. Now I have an idea of exactly how I want to get myself out there to more companies, and more well known by visitors to my blog.
One of the methods that I plan to use to help put myself out for others to find me is by using Twitter. I have already worked with numerous PR agencies and game companies, and am now I’m using Twitter to not only follow the companies that I’ve worked with, but now I’m involving them with my “Tweets” whenever I post a new game review, or even a product review.
Another way that I plan to get the word out about myself and my site, and what I do is by attending major conventions as either a Press member, or regular attendee, and pass out my business card, which will include my website URL, to different exhibitors that I pass by, that I interview, or that I am simply interested in.
I also plan to start doing videos of both the games and products that I review. Use footage primarily of the product that I am speaking about. My videos will have an animated “intro” that displays the name of my blog/website, and then at the end of the video, I’ll show a link back to my website about “more reviews of products”.
I am considering creating a full “.com” website so that I have a more organized, clean website, with links to all my social networks so that I can connect with more companies and review more products.
My overall goal from this learning experience is to be seen as someone who has an honest opinion on games and products, without the overwhelming reviews seen on major gaming websites that are potentially paid for writing “good reviews”.
