Welcome to our 53rd Cosplay Friday! This is the first Cosplay Friday segment for the beginning of Year 2. This week, we’d like to introduce Ashari Cosplay and Props! Ashe is a very talented cosplayer who has built all of her costumes. We hope you enjoy checking out her features and we look forward to yet another year of Cosplay Friday!
Hello everyone, and welcome to our 1 year anniversary! It’s been one whole year to the date, and even to the time. This has been a long road and it’s been a very fun, very fulfilling, and even at times, very difficult road to get where we are today.
I started this segment thanks to all of the many cosplayers that I know personally and have become very good friends with. I’ve witnessed the good, the bad, and everything in the middle within the Cosplay Community and I have to say that this segment has been dedicated not just to my friends, but to all cosplayers everywhere.
This is a very special segment to myself, and to those I feature. Why? I’ve said it before, but it’s because I don’t show discrimination in my segment. I don’t care what someone looks like. I don’t care about color or even religion. What I DO care about is the personality of a person and that their one common passion: A love of cosplay!
This one year marks not just how much I’ve accomplished with this segment, and even who I’ve interviewed, but it marks a big change in my own personal life. If it had not been for the cosplay community, I would not be where I am today, not just with this segment, but also for my sister website/page “Ninja Photography. I’ve taken well over 14,000 pictures of cosplayers and have been able to get myself out there as a photographer, and not just a game reviewer.
So cutting back from my personal end, and back to Cosplay Friday, I want to introduce our 52nd cosplay feature, a friend who I’ve known since I first got into the cosplay community: Loz Link.
Better known as ” The Seattle Link” in Washington State, where Optimus Reports and Ninja Photography are based, Loz Link has been one of my primary models, if not ‘test subject’ for a lot of my photography, especially in trying out different techniques, especially lighting.
Loz Link is our 1 year mark feature, a dear friend, a great model, and great assistant.
Let’s get to reading about Loz Link after the break and I do hope you all enjoy this segment!
Normally, every Friday we would post our next Cosplay Friday feature, as usual, but this week, we’re not. Why? Not because we don’t have a feature, but rather, we wanted to take a day to look back over the course of the last year and remember how this segment started out so small, but has gradually grown more and more over the year with some big names, such as Misa on Wheels here and Jina D. (Model) there, but also a lot of cosplayers who aren’t well known or may not even have all that much experience.
We want to remind everyone why we created this segment and what makes it so unique!
So what’s so different about our Cosplay Friday segment? We do NOT ever discriminate. We don’t judge. We accept cosplayers big and small, Asian or Caucasian, experience or little experience. We know that the Cosplay community is HUGE and we want to acknowledge that there are always going to be cosplayers of varying skill.
We also strongly believe that every cosplay deserves a moment in the spotlight, even if it’s only for a week. All of our Cosplay Friday features are special to us and we want everyone to feel special and appreciated for their hard work and dedication to such an incredible craft.
With that, we’d like to take a moment to showcase the 51 cosplayers we’ve featured and their various pictures they’ve submitted to us for our cosplayer friendly feature!
Thank you everyone who has participated in Cosplay Friday and we look forward to yet another year of Cosplay Friday.
In case you’re wondering, though, we will be featuring our 52nd week cosplayer on our 1 year mark to the day and even to the time, which will be some time after this week. so not immediately. We look forward to featuring our 1 year mark cosplayer and we hope to have more participants to keep Cosplay Friday going for another year!
Keep a focus on our page, and get ready for our Number 52 Cosplay Friday Feature!
